47 Winter 2018 theMACreport Vickie and Mike Danaher NU 07 welcomed son Evan Robert on Aug 17 He joins Owen Caitlin and Peter Eck NU 07 welcomed daughter Hope on May 19 She joins Olive 70th Ferrari Anniversary Celebration in Italy EVANS SCHOLARS MAILBOX Jim Utaski NU 61 wrote recently In addition to a lifelong passion for golf Ive had an alternative hobby classic car collecting The classic cars of the late 50s and early 1960s hold special appeal Attached is a photo of my wife Nancy and me beside a 1964 Ferrari 250 GT Lusso This is the year we were married My company car was a Mercury Comet The Ferrari is better In September Nancy my mechanic Drew Carnevale and I traveled to Maranello Italy the birth city of Ferrari Our Ferrari was invited to the 70th Ferrari Anniversary Concorso dEleganza which was part of a much larger celebration Our car was judged to be the best example of its class and given the first place award Alumni update from Phoenix Dick Staats NU 62 wrote recently After 40 years doing ministry on campus at three universities then Lutheran Family Social Service and pastoral ministry I stayed home to build an addition onto our historic home in downtown Phoenix Linda served on the bishops staff of the Grand Canyon Synod in Arizona then the Rocky Mountain Synod commuting between Phoenix and Denver and finally traveled the country doing workshops for the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America We have two boys Kai and Jae Jae developed his video skills working for the Phoenix Suns as a bench boy and assistant video coordinator Kai has found himself in a profound variety of writing teaching and filmmaking Both do excellent camera work granddaughter is attending Marshall University in West Virginia She will be a sophomore this fall Im still working at a marketing firm for Western Uranium Corporation Jack McKinley 61 wrote recently Jane and I have four grandchildren and three greatgrandchildren I still enjoy golf Playing mostly from senior tees now Bill McNamara 79 wrote in December After 20 plus years in the South Loop we moved to Chicagos Bridgeport neighborhood a few minutes away from White Sox Park and we Mari mostly have been busy restoring this 138 year old Victorian home money pit ever since Our two boys are in high school and thriving at Saint Ignatius Im still involved in international sales and trade working to grow U S exports After some three million miles and 70 plus countries I have seen about everything and yes Ive been everywhere man Frank Pasquesi 87 is managing partner Chicago office at Foley Lardner in Chicago Rebecca Manson 04 wrote recently I have just left my first job after five years and am starting a new job at Tay Valley Vets doing work with small animals and horses This new job is in the heart of Scotland and will allow me to see more of my family Jerry Kribs 05 and his wife Kelly welcomed daughter Maisie Grace on May 15 Elizabeth and Joe Foran NU 10 welcomed daughter Mary Kate on July 24 Laura Kingsbury NU 10 married Andy Mayka on Nov 25
