45 Winter 2018 theMACreport Wally Pfeffer 77 wrote in December I am a member of the Missouri 100 an advisory group to Dr Mun Choi Missouri Mark Shamleffer Mo 82 wrote recently My daughter Megan married Matt Harper in St Louis on April 22 Enjoying adventure in retirement EVANS SCHOLARS MAILBOX Steve Sutton Mo 82 wrote in December I retired at the end of 2017 after 30 plus years as a professor of accounting the past 13 as the KPMG professor of accounting and Ph D program coordinator at the University of Central Florida In 2016 I was a member of the inaugural class inducted into UCFs Scroll Quill Society that recognizes faculty for their sustained research productivity and international reputations in their research discipline Me and my wife Vicky have moved to our condo in Ponce Inlet Florida and look forward to lots of traveling golf and hiking The picture is from a recent hike to Wineglass Bay in Freycinet National Park Tasmania Australia I will continue my position on the University of Missouri School of Accountancy Advisory Board and also plan to maintain relationships with several Australian Universities Missouri Alum in Connecticut Justin Lone Mo 00 wrote in December All is very well out in Connecticut Meghan and I welcomed our second son on July 13 William Lucas came out with a dark head of hair like his mom and is doing great Cant believe hes five months old and rolling around already I am fortunate to work for a company Bank of America that gives such great paternity leave benefits I took the summer off and headed back to work toward the end of September Our family had a summer that we will always cherish Our oldest son Ben turned 3 and he continues to amaze us with his curiosity and big heart He started preschool and is taking his role as big brother very seriously It has been such a blast to watch Ben and Will interact as brothers Theres never a dull moment around our household I continue to love my job as a portfolio manager for U S Trust While my passion for the markets started when I was very young it was those mornings carrying bags for my mentor Ray Robbins at The Legends that helped put me on the path to where I am today Andrea and Tom Barry Mo 00 welcomed son Owen Thomas on Sept 25 Meghan and Larry Grom Mo 05 welcomed daughter Alexis Marie on Dec 5 Laura and Ray Troy Mo 06 welcomed son Henry Raymond on June 16 the University of Missouri president I also began my 40th year with Mutual of Omaha earning honor club status 37 of those years Ray Troy 06 wrote in December I started a new job at DiversiTech in Conyers Georgia as a senior product development engineer in September I had a son on June 16 My wife Laura and I met at Missouri while we were both graduate students She is a professor at the University of Georgia in fashion design in the College of Family and Consumer Sciences
