34 The WGA Evans Scholars Magazine AROUND THE LOOP STAY CONNECTED Let your fellow Alumni know whats new in your life Send in your letters updates and photos online by logging in to www wgaesf org or send a note including your full name school and year graduated to alumni@ wgaesf org Paul Wise 00 and his wife Kim welcomed daughter Sophia Grace on Jan 22 2016 Leigh Levato 12 is an application analyst at PDC Energy in Denver Alexis Micele 16 is pursuing a masters in biomedical sciences at Midwestern University in Downers Grove Illinois Colorado Mike Skau 65 published a book of poems titled After the Bomb in July Dan Pawlowski 74 is an operating partner at Tightrope Capital Partners in Chicago Tom OConnell 81 wrote in March It has been 25 years since I founded my architectural firm Partners in Design Architects We have now grown to a staff of 22 with offices in Kenosha Wisconsin and Riverwoods Illinois Illinois I thank the Evans Scholarship EVANS SCHOLARS MAILBOX Mike Walton Colo 82 wrote in December Its been a long time since I last wrote My wife Karen and I live in western North Dakota We have been here for nearly 30 years In January 2017 I retired after 28 years and driving a million miles for the state of North Dakota I began another career with the Southwestern District Health Unit Thankfully I am home each night Our two daughters Paige and Katelyn live in Billings Montana Paige is married and has two sons Connor and Carson Connor is 2 and Carson is 1 Life is wonderful and I thank the Evans Scholarship for giving me such a fine start Kelsie and Justin Raddatz Colo 05 with children Elijah Addie Jo Benny and Christian A very fruitful 2017 in Singapore EVANS SCHOLARS MAILBOX Sean Smith Colo 12 wrote in December It has been a very fruitful 2017 in Singapore Im eternally indebted to the Evans Program and my parents for instilling in me many lessons skills and experiences which have led to sublime opportunities On Oct 5 I married Kamilah Binte Abdul Kadir and welcomed two beautiful children Imaan 9 and Afsheen 7 into my life On Nov 11 I completed my masters degree through the University of Northern Iowa Teacher Leadership for International Educators On Dec 1 I signed a contract with Singapore American School for the 2018 19 school year where I will continue my fifth year of teaching as a fifth grade teacher On Dec 23 my parents brother Scott Smith NIU 15 and his girlfriend will be visiting us in Singapore for our wedding reception Frank Nessinger Colo 84 Mitch Sigg Colo 09 and George Solich Colo 83 with Evans Scholars interns at FourPoint Energy in Denver
